Obama on Coal
From Senator Obama's Website:
Increasing the Clean Use of Illinois Coal
Senator Obama worked with Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) to secure $85 million for research into a process that will turn Illinois-basin coal into clean-burning fuel for cars and trucks (Fischer-Tropsch fuels). Coal fuel has powered all of South Africa's cars and trucks for the last 50 years. The research could help us one day satisfy our energy needs from Illinois' coal mines instead of Saudi Arabia's oil fields.
"The American coal community applauds the leadership of Senators Bunning and Obama. . . America's coal reserves . . . can be utilized to provide ultra-clean transportation fuels for our armed forces, airlines and anyone interested in spending less at the pump to fill-up their vehicle. . . . Americans must take steps now to make greater use of our most abundant and affordable domestic source of energy: coal. This legislation is a big step in that direction."

North Korea: Global Warming, Hazard to Humankind
From KCNA:
Global Warming, Hazard to Humankind Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- It is an important issue related to the existence of humankind to prevent global warming. Yellow dust phenomena, which have been raised as a serious ecological and environmental problem in the international community, are frequent occurrences with a strong intensity owing to the desertification quickened by global warming. This year the DPRK has suffered severe damages by the yellow sand winds which have come earlier than previous years. The strong yellow sand winds have sharply reduced hours of sunshine and solar radiation, which caused a considerable fall of temperature; they have adversely affected the growth of animals and plants, natural environment and operation of precision machines. The number of those suffering from respiratory and eye troubles has increased and the yield of crops is likely to be decreased. Global warming also causes abnormal weather phenomena including El Nino and La Nina, which incur torrential rainfalls, heavy snowfalls, long-spell droughts, typhoons and whirlwinds, bringing about terrible disasters to people. The DPRK has consistently directed great efforts to the land management and environmental protection in order to prevent global warming.

Al Gore Gay Hip-Hop Global Warming News
From TowlerRoad:

http://www.towleroad.com/
Al Gore planning day of Global Warming concerts around the world that would dwarf Live Aid: "Organisers of the event, scheduled to take place on 7 July, hope to amass a worldwide television audience of two billion people in order to present the message about global warming. The series of co-ordinated concerts in seven cities - London, Washington DC, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town and Kyoto - is expected to be announced today by the former American vice-president Al Gore, who is now a figurehead of the campaign against climate change. Promoters of the event, which will be branded "SOS", yesterday promised that the line-up of artists - likely to include U2, Coldplay and the Scissor Sisters - will "dwarf" those amassed for Live Aid and its successor, Live8. Venues for the London event are still being discussed but the shortlist includes Hyde Park and the new Wembley stadium." Gore has also teamed up with Richard Branson to offer a $25 million prize to inspire innovators in the private sector to compete in combating climate change.
